After a fungus came into contact with a magic gem and corpse of a beheaded kobold, the fungus fused and reanimated the body. Now with new found mobility and intelligence, it moves about the land to scatter its spores. The fusion caused the neck to grow to reach the head. It prefers to rest in cool and damp areas to allow their fungi to regenerate. After visiting many towns and cities, it has fashioned it's fungus cap into a broad brimmed hat and a cloak to repel excess water and help avoid drying out on sunny days.

It is generally very peaceful and prefers to avoid contact with people.
