You need to include Enchant Creature to the card text.

I forget what set but for a while its been Enchantment -- Aura instead of Enchant Creature.

Thinking about how to word it in proper terminology (as of M12) it should probably go like this:

Enchant creature

Flash

Cast Curse of the Fallen only if a creature died this turn.

At the beginning of your upkeep put a +1/-1 counter on enchanted creature.

When enchanted creature dies, choose target creature. Return Curse of the Fallen from its owner's graveyard to the battlefield attached to that creature. If you can't, return Curse of the Fallen to its owner's hand.

They switched it back to Enchant Creature?

Well no.
It still says "Enchantment - Aura"
The "Enchant creature" is part of the rules text.
