A Port Authority of Allegheny County 'T' light rail train on a Blue Line run crosses the Monongahela River on the Panhandle Bridge. The bridge was formerly used by Pennsylvania Railroad's Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Chicago and St. Louis, and was converted to light rail operation in the 1980s.

Ah yes, that Panhandle...wonder why they ever called it that. Their line through the South Side is now a bike trail, but the bridge over the Cal-Sag channel is still there, now just as a spur to serve a factory there. A bit of short line to serve the steel mill at Riverdale, also, connecting at Dolton Interlocking.
