Here I used Hero Forge to create Lycaon, the Werewolf King. A figure from Greek mythology.
Mythology (as I know it)
Arcadia was once ruled by Lycaon, a wicked man who sought to restore the Golden Age.
In order to win the favor of Zeus, the ruler of Olympus, he had a magnificent temple built and dedicated to him, which truly satisfied Zeus.
But Lycaon perverted the rites and performed absurd human sacrifices, which the gods disapproved of.
He even practiced ritual cannibalism.
Lycaon abused the laws of hospitality to sacrifice travelers.
Zeus wanted to find out what the gruesome stories about Lycaon were all about and came to Earth.
Zeus took on the form of an old traveler and asked King Lycaon for hospitality.
The king received him, and Zeus told him that he was the king of the gods.
King Lycaon smiled at the old man's poor appearance. Lycaon told his guest, "If you are the king of the gods, then I am the king of the wolves."
But Lycaon decided to test the old man and invited him to a banquet.
Food and drink were brought, but Lycaon assured his guest that the main course would be something special.
So Zeus was served meat, and Lycaon waited for his guest to eat it.
But Zeus realized that he had been served human flesh (some say it was the flesh of an innocent child, if not one of Lycaon's own sons).
King Lycaon asked his guest, who refused to eat the meat served to him, if he wished to insult his hospitality.
But then Zeus lost his temper and let his disguise slip.
Zeus condemned Lycaon for his wickedness, his perversion of the cult of the gods, and for daring to offer him human flesh.
Zeus transformed Lycaon into a monstrous wolf, doomed to be satisfied only with human flesh.
It is said that Zeus also transformed Lycaon's sons, who were just as wicked, into wolves and even destroyed Lycaon's city.
The former king was now doomed to become a man-eating monster, terrorizing people by night.
Thus, Lycaon became the forefather of werewolves.
The word lycanthropy (a rare mental disorder in which people believe they are transforming or have already transformed into an animal) is derived from the very king who was cursed by Zeus to a life as a beast.
