Guess what, folks, it's another picture from the Cotswold Wildlife Park... I was rather pleased with how this lion photo came out. It's all too easy with male lions to just get them lazing about and not really paying any attention to the world. This guy is rather more interested in things. Perhaps it's a kebab van, perhaps it's just all those juicy human visitors on the other side of the glass...

Yeah, last time I went to the zoo, every single cat was sleeping. Cute pictures, but not very exciting! He looks so alert, and the shot is so crisp and clear. I really quite like this picture. The framing is excellent, and you captured the subject perfectly.

Thanks very much; it's one of the better ones I've managed to get this year. It was a rather cool day, which may have helped; the trouble with nice warm summer's afternoons is that so many animals (and visitors!) just want to doze.
