Correct. The gates of Paradise are heavily guarded and controlled. Nothing gets in or out without their knowledge. This includes goods and people. Penalty of infractions is often death.


Going to make contraband very hard to get inside, unless you know the right people. Great potential for bribery.

And if the people aren't allowed to leave, then the conditions inside are probably not ideal.

Good assessment, and also true. The name Paradise is very misleading. Accurate for the rich elite that run the entire place, but ironic to the subjects within.

There is a great wealth divide here where most people are struggling and very desperate. Often leads to... questionable exploitation from the rich. Be mindful of this dynamic.

And should I ask what type of exploitation occurs?

Slavery, trafficking, prostitution, if it can earn a credit, its legal.

Money and power are the law there. If you have both, you are untouchable.


And if you have none, everything is against you.
