Good day to all you wonderful FA members that come across this post ^w^ so this was a commission I got from the wonderful Arlioth on twitter or Urafeety on DA of Tails the fox stuck in gum and, as per usual now, I made a little story for it :³

In the land of Mobius, the nefarious Dr Eggman had recently announced he was giving up his dastardly villain days and looked to rebuild his image amongst the folks by becoming a candy man and opening a number of candy stores across the land. Despite his words and business doing well, Sonic and Tails were still skeptical of the doctor after previous "I'll change statements" lead to him doing evil acts, but Sonic fell ill during this period and had to stay home so Tails said he'd go solo and told Sonic this would help him grow as he didn't want to be a burden, Sonic reassured his fox friend he was never a burden but allowed him to go solo. Tails flew his way to one of Eggman's candy factories and landed on the roof and attempted to bust in, but he tried to move and realised he couldn't, he looked down and saw his shoes sank a little into the roof and it was yellow coloured, this wasn't a normal roof, it was a caramel roof and Tails was stuck! Tails tried to lift his legs and free his shoes but the caramel clung strongly to his shoe soles and pulled his shoes back down into the sticky mess, he tried to fly and the caramel stretched up to 13 inches before pulling the fox back down. Tails got a little nervous as he didn't want to stay stuck but the other option left him vulnerable in case there was any more sticky traps, but no matter how much he tried, his shoes were stuck good in the caramel, so Tails loosened his shoes and flew up, leaving his shoes stuck and going barefoot as he flew through an open window and into the factory.
Tails became extra careful where he stepped because he didn't want to get stuck again, especially when the caramel was so sticky on the roof, he was careful as he roamed the factory, avoiding any security and cameras that may have been present until he came across a door that said "Production: DO NOT ENTER!" and that was prime for sus behaviour so Tails quickly entered to see how the candy was being made. He entered and there was a few different machines on both sides of the room, on the left side candy was being made and being laced with crushed hypnosis crystals, meaning anyone that consumed the candy was hypnotised into being under Eggman's control and on the right side was more liquid candies like gum, soda and caramel but it was being made with an extra ingredient: stickem: a substance that turns any liquid into a sticky state, probably explains why the caramel was so sticky on the roof, but Tails forgot to realise he was out in the open and was noticed by 2 badnicks and quickly made his escape. He was chased down by a horde of them and dashed down a hallway before quickly entering a room as he heard the hoard run away, he was safe...for now.
Tails decided to fly around the room he was in and saw a ton of boxes and barrels, maybe if he could transfer some of these back to base and run some scans, he could make a cure for the hypnosis effect and end Eggman's no gooding once again, he landed on the ground but a chill went down his back...the floor wasn't solid, it felt squishy and he felt himself sink a little and felt one of his tails stay on the ground..he looked down and he was standing in a pink puddle as he looked to his left, he noticed a barrel of gum had been damaged and leaked onto the floor, right where he landed...not again, Tails was stuck again! Tails was panicked and quickly tried to free himself as he felt the cool and sticky gum under his soles, he lifted his feet as far as he could, getting up to 7 inches but the gum wasn't for snapping, it quickly pulled his feet back down and this time he couldn't even fly as one of his Tails was stuck too and he couldn't spin them, but after the caramel incident, he knew that would be a failed attempt too...he couldn't think of anything, he couldn't do anything, all he could do now was hope no one entered this room as it looked like a room or damaged containers and that Sonic would recover quickly and help him...but for now, all he could do was stick around and continue his attempts for freedom
