While sock-eating snakes usually swallow one sock at a time, they're known for going for pairs, most commonly because they're just bundled together, even if they're mismatched in design, length, or texture. This time, a reticulated python has wrapped itself and its mouth around a matching pair of green toed and heeled socks, which makes this meal even lovelier than a single, solitary sock, as sock-eating snakes always dream of eating pairs. Not that they'll always find pairs, though, so they always make do with single socks when finding any one.
