Here's a portrait of Quinostr, another character from my Echoes Apart project. She's chill, confident and as the Avatar of Space, she could explode a star if she wanted to.
This portrait started out as one of the last concept sketches I drew of Quinostr, but I liked how it looked enough to go back to it and polish it up along with tweaks to be accurate to her final design. I also just wanted to draw her and wasn't willing to wait until I finished other ideas first.

This is really cool, I love how you managed to put together something simple but so pretty! It gives a nice look at her design and gives a little sense of character. I really like the sparkly effects in her purple fluid sections and how they look like stars. The subtle background with her sigil works great too, it fills the space without being overpowering. This makes me wish I could see something similar of all the others to get a little look at them in the same way, but I know that'd be a bit of an undertaking, haha. Still, it's a really nice look at her - I really like her design and the incorporation of her coloured sections in a unique way versus the other aurians!
Thank you! :D Those sparkly stars were such an in-the-moment addition when I designed her, but I loved them immediately. I'm also glad the sigil in the background works, because I wasn't sure how to fill that space until I tried that out, haha.
I probably could do this for all of them and I might actually try it. I think I'd start with someone I haven't already drawn in some capacity if so, 'cause it's a minor mission of mine to have finished art of all of them this year. If I don't end up doing it, at least I'll have done Quinostr here in a way I'm happy with.

I picture the sparkles being fixed in place, but shining brighter or fading dimmer at random. So no glitter party snowglobe, sadly. Unless she wanted to make them do that herself, lol

Levirius's collar tubes have a lava lamp-like effect going on, but otherwise it's just him and Quinostr with persisting effects in their accents. The closest you'd probably get to fish in there is seeing moving shapes in Joiros's accents if you stared too hard, though I think you'd probably see creepier stuff than that and he'd never say if what you saw was real or not. Valamiir's might have a slight fire effect sometimes, but mostly only when his greatsword is in use.
It's maybe not quite the same, but there's also Solazaziel: his accents act as vents for pieces of his soul to exit and re-enter his body where necessary, which is a power he uses a lot.
