A new reference for my Kurai!

Here's the old one from 2016!



While I was working on this I realised that there is actually more to her than I thought, so I figured I'd add some more notes here.
The most important parts are on the reference though ~

Design:
- While her body type is based on tiger anatomy, her fur is longer and fluffy especially around the chest, belly and tail
- Her spots are parallel along her spine until the start of the tail, where they switch to going along the central line (I have a separate back reference and will eventually upload an extended ref with visuals for this)
- Her spots get smaller towards the belly and paws
- I like to draw some of her whiskers with bends or breaks, but this is not required

Lore:
- Aetherials are spirits that took on a physical form to communicate better with the world around them. Over centuries and generations, their physical form has become semi-permanent
- Kurai has access to dark and lightning magic, both of which have a purple hue. She can use these separately or combined depending on the situation
- Canonically Kurai does NOT have an anthro version, only feral and human
