Another fast practice image, this time of Tiria Wildlough fromt he Redwall book "High Rhulain". High Rhulain ended up being one of my favorite redwall books so I decided to try and draw the main character Tiria as a practice image. This practice image was focused on rapidly identifying points of highlight and shade to to try and create a cohesive image rapidly. I really wanted to focus in on training my eye to recognize what shapes would fit where for shading and highlighting and in the end I think this piece did a good job of that, I was able to really quickly figure out what shapes needed to go where. So hopefully I'll be able to take these lessons and apply them to future art.
I know I've been doing alot of these practice images lately so I'm going to really try to focus in and make a full image next, I know I promise this alot but this time I mean it.
