I think aside from last year I have gotten at least one picture that was beach themed each year. I take a week long vacation to the beach each summer and this year Maeve gets to be the one to have her own little beach day. I am 32 and I absolutely would still play with the crabs if the ones we had in the mid Atlantic were less skittish, though I do thoroughly enjoy watching the ghost crabs peek out of their burrows and scampering back inside as you walk by. We also have horseshoe crabs which you can occasionally see braving the beach to lay their eggs. I just love how ancient and alien they look, I have always found them fascinating. Getting to work with them at the touch tank at the aquarium I use to volunteer at way back in the day was always my favorite assignment! Side note, the Baltimore Aquarium is an excellent aquarium if you are ever in the area and enjoy fish and the like.

Nothing better like a good beach day lying on the soft sand playing with those little grumpy critters often ready to pinch us at the first opportunity! When you're a beach enjoyer like sweet Maeve, the cool breeze, the sound of the waves, finding shells, nuzzling all the ocean's scents and bothering (in a friendly way) the crabs are a must! A true pleasure too! 😙🫴🦀🐚🪸🌊

Every year I come to the same conclusion that I could live at the beach, and I am missing it again now haha. No no, I was definitely one of those kids that use to play with the wildlife whenever the opportunity presented itself; chasing the crabs, digging up the mole crabs in the wet sand, searching for crayfish in the stream. You name it, I probably did it at some point haha
In my humble opinion, you should consider finding a comfortable place very close to the beach where you could live in the future, because it seems like you really are missing it, darling. Like you Finn, during childhood I used to play with the wildlife whenever the opportunity presented itself, from the sea critters to those hidden between the tall grass. Glad to know we are so similar hehe 😙
