Ok, this is the extremely early WIP of my new AV. I'm a little shy about posting work so early in the process, buuuuut I am so pleased at how it is starting to look. I'm using new methods and techniques this time, and basically trying to build on what I already know about avatar making.
I'm not sure on a time scale yet, but I just wanted to share this with you all. It's by no means a representation of the final product though.

Oh noooooooo! .. I'm such a dumbass, Ok this is some new software I'm using, and it's always tricky jumping straight into new tech, with a big project. But I managed to flatten all my layers for the textures, so yes it all looks very pretty.. buuuuut I now have completely no control over any of the shadows / colouring etc. Fuck.. totally my fault, and I'm furious at myself for not paying attention to what I'm doing.
Well it took me 5 hours to get what you see in the picture done, so, I guess 5 hours more and I will be right back there, but this time I will make sure I save the layers. Man, I tell ya assumptions are the mother of all fuckups, I feel like such an idiot.
Never mind eh, if at first you don't succeed.. ... swear loudly and furiously, blame your pet / brother / God / the universe.. then accept its your own damn idiot fault, and try try again.. right?
