I think a little philosophy wouldn't be a bad thing. After all, that's why I love your stories: cool guys, adult themes, and philosophy. Wait a minute... Is that a little Nietzschean philosophy? Or is it just me?

We simply evolved to Fill a Gap they likely left when their Civilization collapsed,
even supposing As an Axiom they Created us,
In all probability we would likely have Been Nothing more then an unIntelligent Slave Species Lacking full Cognition of our own existences,
And with the disappearance of our original masters Be it through self annihilation, An external threat, Societal Collapse, Ascension to some higher form or just an experiment gone wrong,
We were forced into a Situation where instincts were Cultivated and Eventually we gained distinct wills,
You can believe what you want about any supposed creator, but to me the Very Act of creation is Hubristic at best and Stupid At worse.

Zudrec again talking from his high horse. But you can see that he is already warming up to Cobby. He is still downplaying his worth as a lesser civilisation, but does start a scientifical7philsophical conversation about where his deduction comes from. Progress and we now also learn why he became totally uncragwallian in his aproach to Cobby's death.

I am sure he means that Zudrec threw all rationality out of the window and became a revenge-driven person once he learned that Cobby died. Especially as Cobby tried to safe someone like Gervic who belongs to the "lesser civilization"
