A story I had in the back of my head for a long time. I'm glad I finally got it written. It's one of my better works, I think, but I'll let ya'll judge that for yourselves. Feedback encouraged, please!

You always provide a nice read, Greg. This is no exception! There are a few grammatical errors here and there, but that's about all I can find wrong with this story. I especially liked all the hints that led up to the whole were-lion reveal. Maybe it's just me in 'furry'-mode, but I thought Izzy was a lion to begin with! Also: Israel is an awesome name for a character, especially this one.
The writing's got no problems, minus a typo or two, though I personally could do without all the sexuality-based meandering. That criticism you can take with a grain of salt, however, as it really depends on who your audience is; I've just heard it all before, and I don't find it terribly interesting.
However, I take serious umbrage with your main character. He's entirely unlikable to my tastes: vain, smug, and narcissistically self-conscious. He's an adonis of all trades, lacking any weakness, who, it seems, classifies everyone into two categories: "wannafuck" and "donwannafuck".
The fight with Manny got really interesting... until Isreal started shifting too. I was honestly looking forward to a human-on-werecreature fight, to show him having to really struggle against something, but was instead disappointed to find Izzy with one less flaw.
As an end note, something a little more positive, I have to hand it to you for the fight scene writing. I definitely have a thing or seven to learn from you about writing action. I do like the werewolf crack at the end, too. ;P

Well, I must say Izzy had all the characteristics of a cat, so at least you dislike him for the right reasons! ;)
I'm going to work on the fight scene, though, because the only way he could win was to kill Manny, which was something he didn't want to have to do.

Unusual character--not exactly the good guy. Amoral, narcissistic, and very, very human under all that physical ability. I can't classify him as superhero, because his flaws on the inside seem much too great for that. It is a pleasure to read of someone like him, because even as you feel some dislike for him, you can't help but cheer him on into whatever action he takes, be it good or bad.
Hurray for the unusual main character, interesting fight scene, and an amazing cast!
