For other high crimes where death still applies, it's beheading for a quicker death. EDIT: Oh yeah, and if it's a case of quickly eliminating someone as a dire threat to the realm, he'd probably go all sniper on them. For such assassinations he'd use a sniper rifle. He has been an assassin and is quite familiar with modern firearms)

Terry as written is trying to balance "I am scary lord who must not be messed with" vs trying to be humane and has the people's interests at heart (both out of genuine altruism and also to avoid being violently deposed like the previous lord).
However he is also a dragon at heart and thus a little prone to weird things like watching/carrying out the executions in catsuit. If he was completely unconstrained, he'd probably still use a mix for variety, but he does favour beheading because his his wicked little dragon heart side likes to see the blood.
