And now, at last, three months after
beatadalhagen put in the request at https://www.furaffinity.net/view/60.....#cid:185418103 ... it's the last of my 352-watchers art givewaway pictures!
Beata had suggested that fingers based on the tuning fork illusion --- also known as the Impossible Trident --- would be nifty. So they are. I fear that I'm not the person to do it, though. I did a lot of sketches and experiments and I can't say I ever got it to where I'm happy with the result. But here is, at least, an attempt at a tuning-fork-illusion hand, and may it inspire someone with greater technique than I have.
The hand, by the way, I couldn't make myself draw quite right; the fingers all came out the same length. So it's through the ProCreate 'warp' tool that I was able to turn it into something with plausibly differentiated finger lengths. The alternative would have been so many more sketches.
Folks may have noticed also the last dozen-plus pictures have had a number --- the submission count --- prepending the titles. This is because I've realized dating every picture has gotten unwieldy. I'm not doing daily pictures anymore and I'm not likely to resume, but it's useful to have some unique identifier for pictures, especially because I settled on 'list the characters in the picture' for titles. So especially as I try doing pictures with more named characters, saving space would be nice.
Thus, this transition. If I have any courage the next pictures should go to submission number as the identifier instead. Sorry to overexplain the least interesting thing about pictures but you all know who I am and would expect no less from me.
