Brogan didn't really want to fill in as bouncer that night, but there was no other option. The regular doorman, Zuryn the Half-Ogre, was ill and the tavern needed someone to keep the patrons in line. Brogan didn't really want to ask that drunk mercenary to leave, and he really didn't want to have to bodily throw his out the door. But he had to, it was his job. Brogan really wished he hadn't turned his back on the man afterward, and he wished he'd seen the dagger in the man's hand.

No one begrudged Brogan when he refused to fill in in as bouncer again.
