This hyperboloid tower is only remaining pylon of electric line near Dzerzhinsk.
Six towers were built in 1927-1929, designed by great architect Shuhov? on Oka river banks, but the power line was decommissioned in 1989. 5 of 6 towers were cut down by marauders for scarp metal in different times.
in 2007-2009 last tower was restored, and protected as great object of culture.

I always thought these towers were sorta creepy, the photos of them all off in the distance are reminiscent of pictures of the zone of alienation and this in particular.
From different angles this tower creates different impressions. Sometimes it looks so brutal...
