Yep. I am reminded of an article reviewing a book about parenthood, titled ALL JOY AND NO FUN. One excerpt described a research project in which video data of family interactions were collected. The lead researcher stated that while he has well-loved children of his own, he still regarded the videos of family conflict as "The very purest form of birth control ever devised."
