Bluerush travels to Funbari Hill, located in Nishitokyo, Japan, to meet his next mentor. There, he met Asakara Yoh and his Guardian Ghost, Amidamaru, who seems to be training to become the Shaman King. There, he asked them to train him, and they agreed to do so. For three months, Bluerush trained to become a shaman, improving his Furyoku and mastering spirit abilities until he was ready. Before he leaves, Blue thanks Yoh and Amidamaru for his training, but he thinks the reason why Yoh wanted to be the Shaman King is a bit... lazy.

Halo Blade: Taught by Yoh, Bluerush split his weapon into two swords. When that happens, both swords are unsheathed at incredible speed at the dead range of the adversary, unleashing a strike with enough power to bust his adversary to shreds.
Vacuum Buddha Slash: Taught by Yoh, Bluerush strikes at adversaries beyond the range of his sword. Essentially, it breaks the air with a slash and forces out a powerful shockwave at the adversary in the form of a sword beam.
Full Moon Purification: Taught by Yoh, Bluerush swings the weapon in a wide sweep, resembling a crescent moon. After that, he then slashes through the target's body.
