Original Description: Woah, an actual new story! I had a bunch of fun with this short-ish one (2k~ words). Especially with detailing how taking up a house-sitting job can really kick you into last century. Is it really house-sitting though if it's a derelict hotel?
The thumbnail for this one is taken from 80's horror flick "The Shining," which also inspired a lot of the story here. Which also meant I could get away with slipping in some horror elements. Enjoy!
I kinda forget this one exists a lot (/silly /lh), but I still like it! I don't remember what drove me to write it honestly, maybe the Shining homage? I've always loved experimenting with TF and casting a wide net. I remember daydreaming about being a horror writer when I was very young and started reading Stephen King for the first time. I know can say that don't have the patience for something like that!! TF is fine enough for me. Also I definitely picked the name "Sally" after Sally Bowles in Cabaret.
