Galaxy Dog is another new American recruit to the G-52s, and he is also the latest in a series of "Comic Book All-Stars." This group had also participated in a series of contests at a superhero-themed conventions, where the winners were guaranteed to be the stars of their own comic books, and the runners-up were named supporting characters. CNG had decided to make them superheroes for real.
Super C subsequently chose to add the winners as G-52s and the runners-up as allies.

Chuong: Everybody wants to be a star one way or another! I like dancing to music, especially on stage with the other performing furries.
Captain Cosmo: It's nice to see you as America's answer to me from Russia. Meanwhile the country of Switzerland is in a mad dash to find their own comic book hero for the G-52s.
Doctor Revolver: Comics are relatively modern and have first originated in my country. We have to beat Belgium in this because comics are considered a part of our national heritage. We should have our own comic book hero before Belgium does.

Galaxy Dog: Thank you; it's a pleasure to meet other heroes with the same powers.
Cosmic Star: Even we are hoping to see comic-book themed superheroes from other countries. Just don't let your people get hysterical about it if they don't win the race.
Justice Tiger: I hear the Japanese are also trying to find their own comic book superhero. Manga always messes with my head because you read it right to left.
Super C: You do. It's not the same as reading Hebrew right to left, necessarily, but you do go in the opposite direction. The Japanese also drive on the left side of the road; that would mess with my head.
