i love living in the sonoran desert and the way the sun makes the rocks glow and the weird flora… its changed my art and worldbuilding a lot but at the same time i feel like i cant rly directly show my love for the landscape in art bc saguaros are so abused for “western” atmosphere that theyre cliche

so i focus on the less obvious parts, the dense pinyon forests of the sky islands, the red sandstone up along the mogollon rim, the play of the light on the landscape

anyway me n some friends created a shared setting thats sorta rolled up that along with my fascination with rock cut architecture and also a bunch of horny rp dfgkjh

a little town in a verdant canyon in an otherwise desert landscape, its population swells each year for the festival of the bun. my friend jani called it megalith and it stuck
