This is not exactly a request, but ...
shadowsoldierxander slid the word 'Moomin' across my desk and what am I to do but give a try to a character I ... actually don't know anything about. I know the setting's big on the Internet and my dear love has a book of the Moomin comic strips I mean to read when I have the chance, but all I really know is a couple images and fan art. Still, I can adapt that to Vahno's comfortably round body plan and maid inclinations, and even toss in a robot vacuum.
This turned into a two-panel story by natural processes: it seemed like having something for Vahno to have something to look at, and a Roomba-like thing fit the bill, and then once he's looked at it, what else might happen? The novel thing for me is that I drew both panels on the full canvas, and then shrunk each to a little more than half the original area. This is probably not a bad way to do multi-panel stuff, since shrinking art makes it harder to see the flaws.
Big thanks to
hexadoodle who offered the useful advice about four-armed characters: don't sweat the anatomy. Not having to make shoulders make sense does simplify things a lot.
