Lantern of hope. I been looking for one of these for years and years. I found one at a thrift-store. I gave it a lot of TLC and put a battery powered-LEDlights in it. I love it.
EDIT: This is so cool and I had no idea but i love details like this: https://www.furaffinity.net/user/folwilliar/ told me: The lamp featured in the film is a type of oil lantern known as a "hurricane lantern." True to its name, the hurricane lantern is designed to withstand fierce winds and harsh weather, with a protective glass chimney and metal frame that shield the flame from being extinguished—even during a storm. Its rugged construction made it a reliable source of light in extreme conditions, commonly used on battlefields, aboard ships, and in rural or frontier areas before the widespread availability of electric lighting.
As a tribute to my favorite movie of the event I will upload (as far as it is possible) something Balto-related each day of 2025. Here the gallery starts so you can see them all: https://www.deviantart.com/emberwol.....years-of-balto
