The Dare (Phasmo Fan Art)
Recently I decided to accept a challenge/dare to get the Gold Apocalypse challenge done in Phasmophobia. While I enjoy the game, I am not as skilled as many dedicated streamers/youtubers. Nevertheless I trusted that I could learn my own way of doing things without looking up "how to cheese(Edit: HAH, puns) Gold Apocalypse" videos. Taking it one difficulty at a time to hone my skills, I sat down, got a notepad ready and started taking notes, many, meticulous notes that I'd refer to throughout the investigation. Ruling out ghosts based on xyz, I blitzed thru Bronze on my first try, but Silver took many, many attempts, mainly due to having to identify ghosts thru their unique abilities rather than "evidence" types they can leave behind. 45 minutes into one session, I'm listening intently thru a microphone doing a Myling/Banshee test, when after 20 attempts in a row it finally, FINALLY does it's special ability, confirming it's sub-type. After that it was a trivial task to finish out optional objectives, get a photo of the darn thing, and go home and call it a day. Soon I'll attempt the real gold challenge, but I'll still be proud of my silver accomplishment.
The picture is to commemorate the moment where I was waiting patiently... Bored, stopwatch open on my phone, thinking about a PB&J sandwich. To pull off this artwork, I decided to test a few shading techniques to accomplish the blurry darkness beyond, and fiddle with my noise textures for woodgrain, which for some reason only applied to the table? Idk it doesn't like color apparently and needs further experimenting.
