A pain that lingers.
A light I cannot find.
Darkness overwhelms me,
yet never overtakes my mind.
My self trying to save me from myself.
A battle fought by all men to the end of time.

Everyday I am pulled in one direction, and the next day another direction. Yet over time I remain the same. Will I someday snap out of it and transcend my fallen state? Or will I descend and never to be saved? My soul is burning itself out of its otherwise hollow husk. I yearn to simply reunite with my God. Tired of all the games of the earth. Tired of all the wild fantasies. Tired.
