"Oh, it's your birthday?" Fluffmaster asked. He grabbed one of his soda bottles and tossed it over the counter to Kygen. "On the house!"

Kygen nearly fumble the catch. He wasn't expecting a bottle to be thrown at him. "Uh, 'Round Rootbeer'?"

"Try it out and find out," Fluffmaster said. He shrugged and leaned his head on his hand. "Something about you just says, 'he'd like a rootbeer'."

Kygen rolled his eyes. "Is it because I'm a ROO? I've a had a ROOtbeer before, y'know."

Fluffmaster didn't say anything. He just stared.

Kygen sighed and popped the top of the bottle off. He chugged it down quickly. Within moments he felt his body expand. He wanted to say he was surprised, but he felt this was expected. Fluffmaster's Bakery was notorious for its strange, body-changing sodas.

Several minutes passed before Kygen's body stopped swelling. He estimated he was now wider around than he was tall. "Huh." He started to think about the name of the soda. "Round Rootbeer, ROOtbeer... ROULD ROO."

Fluffmaster seemed to raise an eyebrow in intrigue.

"One, two, three." Kygen counted on his free hand. "Huh. How long did you have to wait for a roo to come in to get to use THAT triple entendre?"

"First roo to have a rootbeer, if I'm being honest." Fluffmaster smiled. "Thanks for indulging me there, Kygen."

"Is this permanent or-"

"One week. Unless you have extra sodas. Becomes permanent at eleven." Fluffmaster turned to a few boxes on the other side of the counter. He started to pull out some bottles. "Happy birthday, by the way."

"Thanks, and noted on the rootbeer." Kygen chuckled. "How about one for the road?"

Kygen made a pretty huge piece with over 200 people in it for his birthday. In all honesty, I do not think that is something I'd be able to do, so I am impressed he did it! All the same, this is for his birthday (And as a thank you for doing something so wholesome and selfless).
