I'm guilty of #1 all too often.
I try not to use it unless im in a yahoo chat.
and even then i use more cat-faces than "lol"s

It's nothing I get mad about, it just feels aged. It'd be, I think, the equivalent of someone using "I say!" in everyday conversation as if it were trendy or funny somehow.

But seriously I know how you feel about 5, except with pageviews and bad art. If its like no effort mspaint or bad knowledge of coloring or anatomy and has like 100k views or the art shows no improvement its like wtf dude, are you whoring yourself off to every person that messages you or something?

Well, that's really not the point. If something that takes little effort or displays undeveloped craftsmanship, it just means it happens to appeal to a lot of people. Put that same stuff somewhere it's not that welcome and the response will be the opposite.

It's when I see art by people that are very well-learned and have obviously thought things out that I become jealous. I'm very eclectic with what I like to look at, so when I see something that's obviously well-done, I say to myself, gee, why the shit am I not doing stuff like this.

Its just annoying to see people put so little effort into something and get tons of popularity or praise vs really trying and nobody batting an eyelash

Although there is nothing wrong with striving to do better and learn ... Its how you improve as an artist
