thousands of years before he was stealing cars and plowing Major Ka, Terry the Ox King was decapitating puuuny huuumans. life was epic back then. guns and beer hadn't even been invented. you or i might see this and think "oh, cool." or "hey that's sexy." but in his times there was nothing fun or positive about the sight of King Toreas to the indigenous folks.
things to note:
- i'm not known for my short descriptions or my flawless anatomy. so you'll find neither here.
- the ears and horns are part of his head, not the skull. if you're careful you can tell because the skull-to-horns angle is all off-- it's cocked too far upward in relation to them.
- the blood on his face isn't from an injury-- it's smeared there to make him look more fearsome. for some reason the bulls think humans notice small details like that whilst being attacked by eight-foot-tall masked monster men. truth is, humans don't even notice he has a mostly-human head in the fleeting moments before they die or run away, and it's usually nighttime or late-afternoon when light is tricky. hencely, surviving accounts of Toreas and his men on Bastaat borne the beginnings of many convoluted legends of ox-men on many different worlds, the famous Minotaur of proto-Earth the most noteworthy.
the manatee gave us the mermaid, afterall. *shrug* thinking of vectoring this. ROFL OMFG just kidding that'd take forever. but i did get the forms started, hence my watermark... so maybe...
