I mentioned a while back Asternereids are sometimes called star dwarves, but that it's inaccurate and they dont have any relation to actual dwarves.
This id what the actual dwarves look like in my universe
Sort of a armadillopossummole thing, they stand only around 3 or 4 feet tall on average.
Dwarves are a magical race but are also technologically advanced, they formed from powerful wisps taking shape into flesh, which is a thing to explain another time.
But essentially, they came out of nowhere, and spread to many planets.
Their golden armor is an alloy with deity blood, deity blood hardens into metal that can be shaped called Ichorward, and adding just a bit to gold can make it very, very strong without changing the color.
They of course love gold, as well as engineering, and mining, but also known for their pottery.
They also have only a concept of being men, for them there's men, and there's men with different parts, but there are of course exceptions if one transitions and prefers not to be called he/him.

more like Dwassums, though it isn't really explained if this deity blood is better or lighter than other materials, it seems like most of the strength is just coming from the gold, also i think the "without changing the color" part may be a bit confused since it sounds like ichorward isn't the same color as gold but ends up looking like gold
Ichorward will get it's own post one day to be properly explained
Alloying with just a small amount allows for great strength increase in the gold, taking it from soft gold to hard like steel.
Ichorward itself can be any color depending on the specific deity.
Adding just a small amount keeps it from losing the golds look, but still makes it much stronger.
Nothing near what pure Ichorward gear is like but it is just cheaper to add a little bit
Pure ichorward isn't lightweight but often feels so to the user, creating a sort of bond of spirit, so it feels like an extension of the user.
It can survive a beating even from deities.
