if you're using lcd monitors, it'd be a hell of a lot easier to do than what i did
though getting hold of rack equipment isn't always easy
or cheap

but the comfort of the rig is worth it

Lol, I'm already in the process of upgrading all of my equipment into a rack! So much easier to move when its only ONE thing that has to be moved even it is the heaviest...

yeah, true. it takes up a lot less space too.
when i built the chassis, i kept transport in mind.
if need be, the whole thing will break down to single parts small enough to transport in a car
though the rack cabinet is a different story

I'm gonna guess 36V. I just noticed the pack connected on the floor... lol

yeah. they'll actually fit into the cabinet, but they're over 100lbs each, and it's a horrible pain in the ass to maintain terminals when they're inside.
so they stay on the floor.
and yeah, 36v

that old pos has about had it though
it was old when i got it in 96-97
it had the hfreq adjusted for a mac
had to adjust it back to 78khz or whatever it was
that thing is a horrible bastard to adjust all the levels to match
it's getting dim and fuzzy, so i just keep it as a backup

yeah, crts can have some nice benefits over lcd's like contrast ratio
but i've never owned a new, virgin crt
they're always various shades of worn out crap.
i'd have no problems with buying an lcd replacement
except that i'd have to make a new bracket system for it

and i'd never be able to afford three lcd's anyway.

I've always been a fan of the Trinitron, especially in television use. THE best picture quality on a CRT, period.

You can always tell a Trinitron from other sets, because the screen is always flat vertically.
