Introducing Hithermarch C. Karw, but you can call him “Heath”.

A fenland stag who has been a plumber since he was a teenager, he is – for his pains - married to Cleo, a vixen with a taste for the finer things in life.

She takes advantage of him at every step, doesn’t work, and will deliberately make him feel small in company or private; and he’s been taking all this abuse for more than a decade.

Heath indulges in trainspotting just to get out of the house and collects horseshoes in efforts to find their owners or just have them as good luck charms.

He’s a simple stag who works hard and deserves his private time. Heath has recently expanded into drain boring services which has meant his weeks are six days long and usually at least 70 hours. Sure, he earns really well, but most of that is spent by the wife. It’s never ending.

Being a fenland boy, he loves nothing more than being caught in the rain sweeping across the flats and dykes whilst nibbling on his favourite brand of cereal bar.
