I was originally going to cut this and not post it up.

I think you did the "It was all just a dream" trope pretty well. When it comes to showing worst case scenarios / bad-ends, making it an actual nightmare can be very effective. Also, the dream drastically affected Zaum (killer panel by the way) so there's meaning to it even if it was only a dream. We get to see first hand why Zaum is so emotionally distant with Rai, which is good!
And to be honest when I saw the nano city thrown on the ground and cracked in two I suspected it was either a dream or this series had come to a tragic end. From what I understand of the setting, nano cities are incredibly fragile and likely could not survive a fall from a table to the floor.
TLDR; Oh boy! New OBSI!
