I was tasked with tossing out my brother's old mattress and box spring from his bedroom earlier this morning. After taking out the mattress, my dad and I removed the box spring to the front lawn as well. We both noticed the writing, but my dad was curious what it said, so I leaned down and read it out loud.

My brother was in a relationship with a wonderful girl, whom we all thought was the one. Really, she was one of the nicest girls I have ever met. It was like she and my brother were meant to be. They had even planned to move in together and get married! Unfortunately, just before my brother planned to move out of state to live with her, she broke off the relationship. I don't think he ever saw her again. He wrote this little note, but I suppose I'll never know whether he wrote this before or after their breakup.

"You will always be with me. Even if we part, I can never forget you"
