Angela is the newest member of the Black Diamond pirate crew. Unsurprisingly, she’s easily the youngest member (as a result she isn’t allowed to fly her own plane, even if she does ride along).
Despite being the daughter of a very wealthy Kator merchant family, her upbringing was anything but happy. With her family seeing her as more of a tool to secure business connections, by forcing an arranged marriage to consolidate companies. Needless to say, such a thing disturbed her greatly, enough that she’d run away. Accomplishing this by sneaking aboard one of the cargo airships headed out of Kator territory.
When it was raided, she was discovered and initially taken hostage. But she’d eventually manage to convince the gang to let her join, happily providing plenty of useful information about her family’s company. One of the members, a crocodile named Krom would become something of a father figure to her. Being equally horrified at finding out why she ran away.
Reluctantly, he’d allow her to fly in his Devastator’s rear seat, acting as a navigator. Though later on she’d adopt a far more unusual but useful role. A distraction. During dogfights, she would bail out early, in order to make the pursuer(s) think the Devastator’s pilot jumped. When in reality, that wasn’t the case. And once they’d inevitably let their guard down, the tables would be easily turned.
Given her age and size, her flight suit and equipment are all too big. Even with the sleeves rolled up quite a bit, the suit is still quite baggy. Her most unusual piece of equipment however, is her reserve parachute. Given the model she was wearing when she joined lacked connection hooks for a reserve (and they didn’t have a rig that’d fit her otherwise) the group had to get creative. The result, was an extremely cumbersome and awkward, heavily modified seat pack parachute mounted frontally. Instead becoming more of a lap pack. Needless to say, walking or even moving with it on is extremely awkward and difficult. But at the very least, she doesn’t need to move much when wearing it. And of course, deployment of the makeshift reserve would be equally uncomfortable as the straps would give her something of a slap in the face (quite literally).
In addition to this, a standard lifejacket is worn which is just a basic civilian model (only real difference being it’s dyed yellow compared to the military tan). Albeit the leg straps had to be tied off in order to be even somewhat secure. She would also wear a padded tanker’s helmet rather than a traditional flight helmet, something that Krom would insist on as it’d provide some crash protection.
The comment disabling was by accident. Didn't realize until it was already posted. Finally able to enable them again.
