i draw out on a flat piece of paper/cardboard how big I want it, with the shape, and then cut it out, then with about half an inch around it, I draw it on the back of faux fur. then I flip over the pattern and do the other side. I sew it inside out then pull it out, stuff it and sew in the hole with belt loops.
