A condition I've faced myself. When I was in middle school I started pulling individual hairs to the point my mom noticed a bald spot, and a teacher asked very pointedly if I thought I looked good plucking my eyebrows (I wasn't doing it consciously at all).
2 things I do when I get the urge now is 1. cut the hair instead of pulling it, that way I don't lose a follicle, and 2. pull leg hair instead, since that's more socially acceptable than having bald spots on my head or eyebrows. Also, I had my anxiety and depression treated at different points, which are also triggers for trichotillomania.
If you have this, I see you! and hair grows back, it did for me at least!
