Morthalis Wolffang, as a veteran of the War of the Satyr and one of the first Worgen, has a deep and utter loathing of Satyrs, Andrel and Nanelthos notwithstanding. Satyrs murdered his parents, killed many of his friends and forced him to take the Worgen form to better combat them. The scars they left, both physical and mental, may never truly heal.
Perhaps, most damningly of all, they tortured and murdered his first wife Seline. WHen he came home to find his cabin ransacked, his infant daughter hidden in a cupboard and his wife missing Morthalis started to slip from sanity into a feral rage that he had not felt since the height of the War of the Satyr. He followed their tracks, pursuing them to a small camp centered around a cave. Within that cave he found the tortured, mutilated corpse of his wife... and then something in him broke.
The beast that emerged from that cave was swift, brutal and unforgiving. It tore apart the Satyrs, ripping them to shreds with bloody teeth and scything claws, tearing limbs and heads from bodies and ripping hearts from chests. When the last Satyr fell and the camp was empty but for the Worgen, Morthalis came back to his senses, and the horror of what he did finally dawned on him, leading to him giving his infant daughter away for adoption while he went off to live in the woods, forever and ever alone.
