I got a message from Lori’s daughter this evening saying that Lori passed away on the 11th. Lori was brought into the fandom by yours truly, but she was in my life for over 27 years.

Lori had a heart that was never selfish and was always kind. She gave, she took in wayward children, and she gave of herself even when she had barely enough for herself. She was an unapologetic badass, she had a quick wit and a sharp tongue. And when I tell you she loved when we talked nasty about men we liked…she was a hoot and a half…

…she was like…she was an aunt to me. She was a friend, she was a coworker, she was family…and now the world must go on without her…


Rest in Peace, Aunt Lori. You are loved and cherished forever.
