Hello everyone!
A while ago, I sketched a cute yet sad image of my partner Snoops as a young fawn, mourning over his fallen chocolate ice cream, which he loved passionately. The poor thing never recovered from this loss.
I can't recall how I got the idea for this drawing, but I found the sketch again and wanted to complete it in a way haha. It was too cute to not work on its lineart and colouring, so this is the result. Every time I opened the file and looked at it, I went "Awww..." unironically and many of my friends who witnessed the progress did so, as well. I tried to make him look disappointed and give him slight puppy eyes to enhance the cuteness, especially for a young and frail deer. Poor boy definitely doesn't want to loose his chocolate ice cream ever again.
I had a lot of fun with this drawing despite it being so sad in a way. I hope you can still enjoy it and make sure to watch over your ice cream!

There is the pain you only know as a child of the ice cream falling off the cone onto the floor. It is not just the loss of the scoop, but the anticipation of the joy it was about to bring you it is that loss that disappointment you captured very well in this character’s face.
Oddly enough, it is this very incident and it’s memory going forward this young one will recall later as an adult and laugh about.
