Backstory (I made it to long to be a summary lol):

Jasper was born in the country of Axorna, which is located within the demonic plane. He was born to his mom Twili, a dealer working for the Mortals Dream Casino Resort and his dad, an industrial architect that aided in the construction of some major facilities around the country. Jasper had a love of mixing different foods together as well as different drinks. This interest lead him to learning how to cook and bake at an early age. As he grew up, he might his best friend Lithus Darrien, a hoodlum demon meerkat that loved to express his artistry through graffiti.

The two were close throughout their teenage years until they turned 18, when Lithus wanted to up the ante of his graffiti placements by graffitiing on a High noble demoness's mansion. This mansion belonged to Yulan Holdri, the country's top general and tactician, and the co-owner of the Mortal's Dream Casino Resort. Jasper thought the idea was stupid, and plainly told him that and refused to join him. Lithus, cursing at Jasper's cowardice, decided to do it anyways. He managed to get in and decided to graffiti "Gamble for peacE" on the mansion with horns sticking off of the G and the last E that resembled Jasper's horns. The moment he finished up the art, was the moment he had realized what he had actually done, put a target right on his best friend's back.

Jasper was entirely unaware of what Lithus did, but, after a few months of strange prying eyes, encountered lady Holdri talking to the manager of his work. She had heard of his cooking and wished to sample for herself, so she bought out the restaurant for the day. For hours, Jasper cooked, and baked, Yulan several sample-sized dishes and deserts, all the while being asked unassuming questions by Yulan. As Yulan finished her last sample, she asked one final question, "If you were to choose for a terrible thing to happen to yourself that has done no wrong, or someone close to you that has, who would you choose?" The question caused Jasper to pause, and the face of his scared friend he had seen that same night after getting off his shift came to his mind. Realizing what had happened, he answered "...Well, I think I would want whoever was close to me to learn their lesson, but NOT through terrible means. So I would have to choose myself for that one.". Jasper understood what he had said, and that his answer would cause himself problems later on. What kind of problems, he would soon find out.

Yulan later sent a letter to Jasper, telling him to meet her at the docks. There, she gave Jasper the same question, and Jasper gave the same response. She then bluntly told him what was to happen to him. He would be apart of her genetically modified soldiers program and assigned to her personally. Jasper then asked what would happen if he had refused, to which she responded that Lithus would have endured it himself, but with a more experimental serum they had been designing. He decided to go with her, he couldn't let Lithus undergo such a thing. He was brought into the lab, tested for any diseases or other things that might complicate his body adapting to it, and finally put under.
He doesn't know how long he was out for, just that he was awoken one day to the lab researchers telling him that the program was called off due to the unification of realms lead by Reina. The serum had altered his body, spikes, resembling that of his horns, now pierced through parts of his body causing immeasurable pain and issues with moving. The researchers explained that his genetic modification was halfway complete when they had to shut everything down, and that he was lucky to still be alive. They gave him some money, enough to live comfortably for several years, and sent him out but told him he had to stay at a specific house for a while as the effects of the serum being cut halfway were unknown.

He went there to find the place had been decently furnished and cabinets stocked with food. He also found a letter on the counter, underneath a bottle of strong alcohol. It stated that he couldn't use any pain relieving medicine as the serum was known to have negative effects with it while settling, and instead recommended to numb the pain via alcohol. He, at first, refused to use it, as he hadn't liked the idea of drinking alcohol due to some of the people his mom had talked about dealing with at the casino. However, after a two months of going without anything, he eventually caved and drank some. He hated the taste, it was much worse than he could have even thought, but it did help numb the pain a bit. That's when a thought occurred to him, he'd mix something into it. And so he did, he experimented with all types of ingredients, some terrible mixtures while others quite good.

Eventually he remembered his old love of mixing drinks, and grew to love making cocktails and other mixed drinks as the process of making them calmed him and allowed his mind to focus on something other than the pain. As some time passed, a few of his other friends and family were allowed to see him, and to celebrate they threw a party. He ended up being the "bartender" for the night, and found the position to be quite fun and even comforting. As time went on, the pain from the spikes slowly faded until finally they were gone. He was cleared to leave, and even given access to head up to the mortal planes due to the suffering he had to endure due to the, now illegal, genetic modifications by Yulan. He agreed to go, packing his stuff, and his mixing supplies, and heading up to the mortal plane. He knew what he wanted to do when he got up there, he wanted to try his hand at being a real bartender. And so, he left with a smile on his face and ambition in his heart.
