Thank you very much for visiting! Advanced criticism and professional advice are strongly encouraged.
This is my rendition of Asreal, a character by [Fat Panda] of [Furry Art Pile]. I do not know much about the character and it is my hope that I do not bring offense to it with my liberal interpretation or meager skills. Fat Panda's design for the character can be seen [here]; I strongly encourage people to see it as well as his interpretation of my character Varia which can be seen [here].
The significance of this drawing is that it is my first entirely-digital image. This drawing was built from scratch in Photoshop, and maybe I'm getting mildly better at using it. The one thing I learned is that I need to STOP PUTTING THE TABLET ON THE SIDE OF THE NOTEBOOK! PUT IT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DESK, YOU STUPID IDIOT! GOD, I'M DUMB! Being colorblind, I had to solicit help from my sister in choosing a few of the swatches. I was uncertain as to whether I should have just stopped with the line art or go ahead on and try to color. My choice of colors does need to be a subject of criticism. I also found out while sketching that I was able to save my brush setting in my brushes and tools, which is helpful when I divert my attention to other projects temporarily. In the original Photoshop file, I set my brush to 100% hardness, 20% flow, and airbrush mode. I found this setting helpful when sculpting the figure. Also, the ability to throw on other layers provides a level of security for me.
Again, I am grateful for your visit and would encourage you to visit [Fat Panda's gallery].
