"Panning for Abstracts" I love spending a few hours wherever there's waves on the beach, water in motion. Steep Rock beach is the best for this with it's amazing smooth stones, a total playground. It takes many hundreds of shots, hours and hours of shooting time (concentration, timing!), and then hours in post, but it's worth it for that one nugget. Jumps out at you, ping! Just like gold-panning though, you've got to know where to look and how.
