I heard a story on the Fleischer ones, that being, they were unsure about doing it, due to the technical side of needing to animate more realistic looking characters, as opposed to the more toony looking characters they were use to, so they gave Paramount an extremely high budget estimate (four times as much as an average budget for an animated short at the time), thinking it will get them rejected, only for Paramount to give the Okay (after negotiating it down to half the estimate given).

You also hear that Marvel & DC are doing a crossover event, with Jeff the Land Shark teaming up with Krypto the Superdog!?
