Shane wasted no time as he pulled Li into the tightest hug that he could manage. The tears that he had been holding back broke free and flowed down his face. "Well, lucky for you I'm not easy to get rid of, so you can stick that in your pipe and blow it," he said with a shaky laugh, squeezing them a bit tighter as if he might lose them again if he let go. "Just promise me that you won't hide from me any more, you big dummy. I accept you for who you are and that includes who you've been and what you've been through. I owe you that much, because you were the first person who accepted me for who I was and am; no questions asked. That's all I've wanted this whole time: to be able to do for you what you've done for me. Don't take that away from me anymore, okay?"
