Lotus Maidens are an interesting class of aquatic plant that specializes in human mimicry.

-This class of plant has a specialized apparatus that is able to grow into the shape of a young attractive human. Lotus Maidens are the most common, as young females tend to attract more attention, but the plant has been known to create male shapes. Those are referred to as Lotus Sires.
-Lotus maidens are present in areas submerged in water and surrounded by flora, such as floating on tops of swamps, rivers, and other dense areas of water and vegetation. They have specialized roots that allow them to anchor themselves to the ground beneath it, and can release it to flow with the current. Other than that, its general mobility is limited.
-The lotus lures humans with mimicry. By submerging its leafy parts, it can pretend to be a beautiful maiden in distress, further masked by a fog it is able to create by fanning a chemical from its large flower base. Once a target is within range, it will lunge out with its vines and ensnare its prey. The vines contain spines that will inject a muscle relaxing agent, causing the body to go limp. After releasing it into the water, the victim will drown, and it can consume it by drawing it into its large toothed mouthpart on the underside of the flower base.
-A Lotus Maiden can use other means to attract humans, such as wafting a pheromone that stimulates sexual arousal in males (the pheromone will attract females in Lotus Sires). This aids in its effort to feed on young, dimwitted men who hope to find a mate by saving a damsel in distress.
-A Lotus Maiden has small potato sized red fruits that bud from the roots on its base. Raw, these can cause extreme stomach cramping upon ingestion, but properly prepared can cure minor poisons and counteract the limp paralysis the vines cause.
-The "hair" of a Lotus maiden is actually a fine, smooth, silk produced by the plant. It is extremely valuable and is used to manufacture high quality clothes for the rich.
