I tried drawing in church several times in the past. Nobody was into the idea for some reason and my mom ended up getting bitched at because I was disrespecting the house of God or some bullshit.

if god exists and he's as benevolent and forgiving and etc as christians insist that he is he wouldn't give a shit if you were drawing during a sermon. besides wasn't there a story in the bible where god encouraged people to practice their talents, as they were his gifts to humans?

this is why i can't get into christianity. the bible is an absolute mess and thus nobody has any idea how to follow it the way it was intended. which is why there are so many different flavors of christianity. :S

On the contrary, it's culled and demonized. It kinds of offends me, as kind of an artist of sorts, radical, out-of-the-box thinking is what defines me.
