🎋🎐🌟 I did this drawing of Jirachi all the way back in 2015 and never posted it. At that time it was clearly way out of my scope, I remember spending sooooo many hours redoing every stroke until it felt right. This is what it looks like straight out of SAI, no PS touchups.
The files has over 100 layers somehow (???) I clearly didn't have the process down back then, ideally it would be just maybe four tops. But despite all the effort I think I learned a lot even though I don't really paint in that style.
AI would seem like sci-fi technology back then. It might feel discouraging manually drawing anything at all these days, but at the same time it can be very rewarding in the end.
